A unique feature of this property is the use of recycled bricks for walkways and the parking area.  You will even note some cut white marble pieces saved from the gravel crusher.  This porous surface allows precipitation to enter the soil and minimize runoff.  It is also sloped toward the garden to allow large rain event runoff to enter the garden. The Grand Island Production Center

Located in the Airport Industrial Complex, production is housed in two energy efficient facilities.  Welding/metalworking are thus separated from assembly to keep components and fabrics clean.

		Assembly and Office Building This is a former airplane hanger and was used for a time as a call center for a major airline.  The building has been completely redone with new energy efficient lighting, insulating ceiling tile, etc.
		Welding Building This is a standard shop building which houses the roboting welder and all of the other equipment.  This was also gone through by the airport authority for efficient heating and cooling.
